WABI TV5 first signed on in January 1953 becoming Maines first television station. It has long been the news leader for eastern and central Maine. The stations located at 35 Hildreth Street in Bangor and has a bureau in Waterville Maine.
Job Summary/Description:
This parttime job 25 hrs/week) entails helping to produce twoandahalf hour weekday morning newscasts and learning the producers role sufficiently to serve as a fillin for that position. There are also opportunities to fillin during other shifts. The job also requires posting materials to social media and station website.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Editing video for air and website
Sending materials to newscast rundowns
Timing newscasts
Assisting with studio prep
Posting materials to the website and social media
Qualifications/Requirements:
Educational background in electronic mass media/journalism or related discipline
Valid drivers license with clean driving record preferred
