Job Description

Join us as a Claims Analyst IV to take on key responsibilities within a worldclass claims function.

Make your mark in Claims

As a Claim Analyst IV you will be responsible for handling all aspects of multiline financial lines claims from inception through conclusion brought against insureds. The responsibilities for this role include making coverage determinations investigating losses evaluating and projecting potential exposures setting judgmental reserves developing and implementing resolution strategies managing outside law firms working with underwriting on policy renewals and promoting client relationships.

How you will create an impact

  • Focused on Professional Liability including Architects and Engineers Lawyers Accountants and Real Estate you will be responsible for a portfolio of claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis to timely and accurate resolution.

  • Your goal will be timely accurate and customerfocused claim resolution minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense you will actively promote and demonstrate the principles of Treating Customers Fairly in claims handling.

  • You will communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders in your role as a Professional Liability claims expert and thought leader.

  • As a valued member of the team you will work closely with our underwriting partners to provide feedback on claim exposures and trends to inform decisions on the portfolio.

  • You will also contribute to continuous improvement in Claims by supporting Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes ensuring mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders.

What youll need to succeed

  • Experience handling thirdparty claims litigation or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for professional liability and/or construction claims.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent required. Multistate adjuster licenses and/or JD preferred.
  • Experience in negotiation mediation arbitration and ADR skills on higher value complex claims.
  • Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
  • A track record of following up effectively on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement.
  • The ability to influence claims and nonclaims stakeholders by effectively directing claims strategy.
