Summary of Job Duties:
The Interprofessional Simulation Center (IPSC) supports both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. The IPSC Coordinator (Associate Professor) will work under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and report to Course Coordinators. This role involves assisting in the planning and implementation of scheduled laboratory learning activities in collaboration with the Simulation Coordinator and other staff. Additional responsibilities include supporting faculty during student practice sessions and assisting with demonstrations teaching and evaluation of IPSC learning activities.
Qualifications:
- Masters or higher nursing degree with nursing experience.
- Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree PLUS three 3 years of teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program
- Experience coordinating simulation experiences for students and/or INACSL certification
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
- Assist Course Coordinators in planning and implementing scheduled laboratory learning activities in collaboration with the Simulation Coordinator and other staff.
- Support faculty in facilitating student practice sessions providing guidance and ensuring effective learning experiences.
- Assist in demonstrating teaching and evaluating IPSC learning activities.
- Maintain and operate simulation and laboratory equipment ensuring functionality and proper setup for learning activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate simulationbased education into the curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student performance during simulation experiences providing feedback and support.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and best practices in simulationbased education.
- Maintain an inventory of simulation and laboratory supplies coordinating procurement as needed.
- Participate in faculty development related to simulation education and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the IPSC.
