Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SAP Financials Developer with 35 years of experience to join us and support a client of ours to design develop and implement solutions within the SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ABAP programming an understanding of core finance processes and the ability to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Development: Design code and test ABAP programs user exits enhancements and interfaces for SAP FI/CO modules (e.g. GL AP AR Asset Accounting Cost/Profit Center Accounting).
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather specifications analyze requirements and propose technical designs.
- Integration & Interfaces: Develop and maintain integration points between SAP Financials and other SAP or thirdparty systems (e.g. via IDoc BAPI or RFC).
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues. Perform debugging performance tuning and code optimizations.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure all solutions align with development best practices security and compliance standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers business analysts and crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality timely solutions that meet business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on new SAP tools trends and technologies and suggest improvements to processes systems and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience:
- 35 years of handson ABAP development experience ideally focusing on SAP FI/CO modules.
- Familiarity with SAP enhancements (User Exits BAdIs Enhancement Spots) and integration (IDoc BAPI RFC).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of SAP Financials data structures and business processes.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting ABAP code.
- Basic knowledge of SAP security and user authorizations.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Fiori/UI5 or other modern SAP technologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with technical and functional stakeholders.
