Job Description

Our retail stores mission services and administrative team provide the fuel the face and the gateway to all the awesome services we provide for individuals families and organizations in the communities we serve. But what does that mean for you as a Health Program Coordinator It means that you are connected to something bigger than yourself something that helps shape the community you live in with one of lifes basic needs...the ability to have a productive livelihood. A Health Program Coordinator will play an integral role in preparing the future healthcare workforce. This positions primary function is to provide technical professional and programmatic guidance consultation and support in accordance with the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Essential Functions

The essential functions are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is to be performed by the team member in this position. It is not an allinclusive list of accountabilities and deviation from typical duties may be necessary to accomplish a particular task or project. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Develops coordinates and oversees health care programs offering certifications to include CNA Phlebotomy medical assistant etc.
  • Establish curriculum coordinates clinical site compiles paperwork needed ensures classroom lab is up to standards and submits an application to obtain state approval.
  • Follows up consistently with Georgia Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) to ensure the program maintains current certification.
  • Provides proper instruction to training participants wanting to become eligible for certification.
  • Complies with State of Georgia requirements of a minimum of eightyfive 85 hours of training which must include twentyfour 24 hours of clinical rotation in a facility supervised by an approved Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; develop lectures discussions and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience in the classroom.
  • Assists participants with the completion of intake packets and orientation to the program.
  • Ensures the state required paperwork for onsite and desktop review is included on each participants file.
  • Documents significant information and case notes of participants observations and behaviors during training promptly.
  • Maintains the class and lab supply inventory and informs the team or manager of orders to be placed.
  • Assists with review of the material test scheduling and preparing participants for interviews as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills initiative teamwork problem solving independent judgment organization time management project management and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to effectively write and communicate in a concise manner to a diverse audience.

Education & Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with two 2 years of nursing experience and one 1 year of nursing experience as an RN must be in a longterm care facility.
  • Experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aides.
  • Level of knowledge normally gained through completion of an undergraduate degree.
