Job Description
Role Definition:
The person will be responsible for administration of 2D system mainly Smart PID and management of inhouse software development
Key Responsibility
- Provide support for Smart PID ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting issues.
- Setup and upgrade PID projects maintaining project timelines and efficiency.
- Customize reference databases reports and symbols to meet project specifications and improve workflow.
- Develop and maintain PID cleanup tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Manage workshare projects coordinating between different teams and locations.
- Check and install hotfixes to keep systems updated and secure.
- Conduct quality checks of drafted PIDs to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Interface with upstream and downstream applications to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Provide user training and manage access to ensure users can effectively utilize the system.
- Communicate with vendors such as Hexagon to resolve issues and stay updated on new features and improvements.
Knowledge and Skills
- Expertise in Hexagon Smart PID.
- Proficiency in Citrix/XenDesktop.
- Strong understanding of Oracle and SQL databases.
- Experience in project management.
- Knowledge of hardware and security principles.
- Skills in automation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D systems from Hexagon AVEVA Bentley and Autodesk.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of .NET would be an added advantage
Qualification
- B.E. with Minimum 5 years of experience in SmartPID support development and administration
- Minimum 2 years of experience in administration
