Job Description

Astleys are currently looking for a motivated and reliable FirstYear Apprentice Cabinet Maker with a strong work ethic to grow with our friendly and collaborative team.

This is a fulltime position and an opportunity for a longterm engagement within the Astleys team and the broader Maas Group for the right applicant. We pride ourselves on quality finishes and providing a service that exceeds our customers expectations.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Learning to construct and install a variety of custom cabinets and joinery through a variety of factorybased and onsite projects
  • With a range of projects from residential to commercial to industrial
  • Use of a wide range of hand tools power tools and multimilliondollar state of the art joinery equipment
  • Learning a wide range of unique skills for high end joinery
  • Including manufacturing of components Cutting shaping building using all types of materials
  • Examining designs drafts and a range of plans to determine specifications
  • Deliver and install completed products to site
  • Some outoftown travel for work and tafe

Key requirements:

  • Physically fit selfdisciplined and have attention to detail
  • Reliable resilient motivated and able to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Be able to be a part of something dynamic joining a team which is hard working but a lot of fun
  • Current drivers licence
  • White Card
