Rindge Memorial School is seeking a qualified school nurse to begin at the start of theschool year.The School Nurse strengthens and facilitates the educational process by modifying or removing healthrelated barriers to learning for individual students and promoting the optimal level of wellness for students and staff. The nurse assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment planning intervention evaluation management and/or referral activities; serves as the direct link between physicians families and community agencies to assure access and continuity of health care for students; provides relevant instruction counseling and guidance to students parents staff and others concerning health related issues; upholds professional standards the Nurse Practice Act and other state and local statutes and regulations applicable to nursing practice; and adheres to district policies and administrative guidelines.Knowledge of:Including but not limited to Part Ed 311 Nurse Practice Act NH RSA 326B:12 Scope of Practice; Registered Nurse as revisedConfidentiality and Public School Health Records including but not limited to FERPA HIPAA and the confidentiality and ethics required by ones nursing license;Skill in:Use clinical judgment in providing case management services.Providing exceptional customer service to staff and students.Planning and organizing work.Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.Ability to:Provide leadership in promoting health and safety including a healthy environmentProvide quality health care and intervene with actual and potential health problemsCollaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation selfmanagement selfadvocacy and learningExhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students staff administration parents and the community including difficult and emotional situations.Maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment.Exhibit strong attention to detail.Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary.Exhibit independent judgment in the interrelation and application of standard practices and procedures.Learn and interpret rules regulations laws instructions and procedures.Compile information from various sources and prepare basic and standard reports.
