Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments to identify analyze and evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified security risks
- Assist in the design deployment and configuration of security technologies and tools
- Engage in security solutioning to recommend and tailor appropriate security tools and technologies based on the clients requirements and threat landscape
- Monitor and analyze security events logs and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security measures into the overall IT infrastructure
- Provide support and training to endusers on security best practices and policies
- Contribute to the development of security policies procedures and documentation
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a robust security governance framework including risk management compliance and incident response processes
- Participate in the creation and review of security policies standards and guidelines to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to promote a strong security culture
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends threats and industry regulations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the companys security posture and the evolution of its cybersecurity strategy
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security Cybersecurity or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts operating systems and security principles
- Some exposure to common security tools and technologies such as firewalls antivirus software and vulnerability scanning tools
- Understanding of security governance frameworks at a high level such as NIST ISO 27001 or COBIT
- Ability to interpret security data and identify potential issues
- Willingness to learn and apply security risk assessment methodologies
- Interest in security solutioning and the desire to develop skills in designing and implementing security solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Eagerness to continuously learn and grow in the cybersecurity field
- Relevant internship or handson experience in a cybersecurityrelated role is a plus but not required
