Pieces of HR is a leading HR service provider specializing in supporting small businesses and startups with expert HR and recruiting solutions.

Our client is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in medication preparation and dispensing with a commitment to providing highquality pharmaceutical care to both inpatient and outpatient populations.

This is a bargaining unit position with primary and secondary shifts as outlined below.

Overview

The staff pharmacist is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both inpatients and outpatients ensuring compliance with all safety standards protocols and regulatory requirements. This role requires precision strong attention to detail and a dedication to supporting positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently for both inpatient and outpatient care
Verify prescriptions for accuracy appropriateness and compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes
Provide consultation to medical staff nurses and patients regarding medication use side effects and storage
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols pharmacy regulations and New York State pharmacy laws
Maintain accurate and complete medication records
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing education programs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy)
Registered Pharmacist (NYS) license
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Basic computer knowledge preferred

Shift Details

Primary shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Secondary shifts: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
