Job Description
Inhouse training for females to teach the sensitive exam assess and provide feedback to learners about accurate pelvic and/or breast examination techniques. The GTA uses their body to guide medical students and physician assistant students through the entire process of performing a thorough pelvic exam: a visual exam (checking for any lumps or bumps) a speculum exam and a bimanual exam. The GTAs coach students on their clinical skills and give hands on instruction as well as comments on technique language and overall approach. The GTA also addresses the communication skills needed to provide a comfortable exam in a standardized manner while using their body as a teaching tool in a supportive nonthreatening environment.
Required Qualifications
Must be healthy both mentally and physically to handle this work. Must be professional and dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical background.
