Reporting to the Mayor the City Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and will assume overarching responsibility for the administration and management of government affairs city officers and employees. Under the guidance and oversight of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen the City Administrator will be entrusted with overseeing all real and personal property owned by the City of Troy and will possess the authority to establish administrative policies. Additionally the newly appointed administrator will possess the authority to conduct investigations examinations or inquiries into any aspect of city departments providing comprehensive reports upon request by the Board of Aldermen.
The City of Troy offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a starting salary of $105000 to $120000 commensurate with qualifications and experience health life & AD&D insurance LAGERS retirement employee assistance program paid holidays as well as paid vacation and sick leave benefits.
This position requires a bachelors degree in public administration or a related field with a preference for candidates with a minimum of five 5 years administrative experience in local government and at least two 2 years as a municipal administrator or supervisor. A masters degree in public administration or a closely related field is desirable. The selected candidate must be bondable possess or be able to obtain a Missouri drivers license within six 6 months and be willing to reside in Troy. Relocation expenses will be negotiable on a casebycase basis.
