Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced systems administrator who is eager to use and grow his or her technological skills to help our customer meet their mission objectives. The successful candidate will be part of a team that builds solutions implements new software and hardware and provides current and next generation system designs. Youll help create be given challenging assignments lead initiatives and take ownership and responsibility. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to make sure our customers achieve mission success.
Responsibilities
- Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration security permissions group policies research event log warnings and errors and resource monitoring ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
- Monitor infrastructure health and respond to issues as they arise; help build test and maintain new servers as needed
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers routers switches firewalls security updates
- Support developers in a fastpaced DevOps environment; help research new IT related technologies develop requirements and implement custom solutions to support our customers mission
Required Qualifications
- Proven work experience in IT
- Experience with Linux Windows and Mac operating systems; current network equipment and technologies modern datacenter server technology system performancemonitoring and logging tools directory services KVM and VMware virtualization HTTP services containerization technologies
- Scripting (bash Python Powershell or similar) and/or automation (Ansible Puppet Chef etc) experience preferred
- Experience analyzing and maintaining largescale distributed systems
- Shared storage technologies such as NAS SAN or clustered file systems
