Job Description

Position : Business Solution Architect

Location : San Diego CA

Duration : 5 Months

Total Hours/week : 40

1st Shift

Client : Medical Devices Company

Employment Type : Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT)

Work hours: 85 PM PST

Ideally this role would be located in San Diego and available to come into the office 1 day a week on Tuesdays. I am however also open to remote only candidates for the right candidate.

3 Must haves on the resume:

Salesforce Experience Analyzing Business Requirements and translating those to technical requirements & technical design solutions that can be delivered through a phased approach.

Ability to understand system and project dependencies and ability to drive decisions with pros/cons analysis.

Education requirements: BS in Computer Science Engineering or other technical degree or experience preferred.

Job Description:

  • The Business Solution Architect drives endtoend business process and technology solutions to achieve key goals and initiatives related to Medication Management Solutions (MMS). The MMS department is focused on the Quote to Cash Issue to Resolution Sales & Service work streams including Leads Opportunities Orders Contracts Billing & Revenue Service Technical Support Centers Infusion Repair Depot Field Service Professional Services and Service Contracts.
  • This role works within a project team to identify opportunities to deliver standardized solutions leveraging the investment of our current enterprise software landscape.
  • The role works closely with leaders stakeholders and internal end users as well as the agile team including the product owner and developers to analyze design deliver and continuously improve business processes with system solutions.
  • Core technologies include SAP (ECC/CRM S/4 HANA BRIM) Salesforce (Sales Cloud Service Cloud Salesforce Field Service Experience Cloud) Genesys PureCloud and other custom tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for high level project scope including defining epics features and capabilities.
  • Ensure impacts of design decisions are broadly understood and supported.
  • Authors and analyzes business requirements identifies gaps in requirements and addresses those gaps.
  • Identifies system integration points that impact project LOE/team resources.
  • Creates/maintains technical project artifacts including business process flow charts asis/tobe architecture diagrams user requirements data migration plans testing strategy and job aids.
  • Leads option analysis and pros/cons discussions to drive critical decision making.
  • Proactively identify technical project risks and mitigation plans.
  • Understands technology and project dependencies. Raises technical risks & mitigations.
  • Keep up to date with technology and industry trends while communicating impact to the technology roadmap

Responsibilities of Demand Discovery Process

  • Partner with Product Manager across business units to lead deep dive requirements gathering workshops within the service work stream and facilitate stakeholder alignment on prioritization and solution rationale.
  • Partner with Product Managers to develop business cases and drive IT governance process.
  • Partner with Product Managers to drive long term technology roadmap strategy considering business and industry trends.

Team Support

  • Partner with CX & UX Designer as needed when designing customerfacing selfservice customer portal technology and custom applications to ensure optimal customer and associate experience.
  • Mentor team members on project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall Hybrid) and the software development lifecycle.
  • Answer questions from developers and clarify requirements.
  • After project golive mentor and transition support to broader team as needed.
  • Partner with Product Owner on detailed requirements during of project
  • Support Change Management work stream for successful technology adoption

Enterprise Systems Operations Support

  • Tier IV support to investigate complex production issues to determine next steps to resolve.
  • Proactively identify technology infrastructure needs to ensure system stability.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required. B.S. in Computer Science engineering or other technical field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 7 years experience in Salesforce (Service Cloud Field Service and Mobility Communities Cloud Sales Cloud) and/or SAP (ECC/CRM S/4 Hana) and/or another comparative service focused SW application.
  • 7 years translating stakeholders requests into enterprise technical requirements preferred.
  • Strong experience business process mapping new and existing functionality
  • Experience in FICA BRIM (Subscription order management convergent mediation convergent invoicing) a plus.
  • Experience working with both Agile and traditional waterfall project management teams
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Excel PPT and Visio
  • Experience working in a sales and/or service organization
  • Experience within a medical device or regulated industry a plus
