Job Summary:
As the Manufacturing Engineering Assistant Coop you will report directly to the Director MES Operations and utilize your knowledge excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to assist in the Manufacturing Engineering Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for manufacturing engineering and wants to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment

Work Term Arrangement: Onsite 5 days per week (Mon Fri)
Work Term: Spring 2025 (May Aug)
Location: 90 Belfield Rd. Etobicoke ON

Responsibilities

  • Work on plant layout updates & preparation of work instructions.
  • Assist in CAPEX projects with Project/ Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Conduct process studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working alongside designers and engineers to create and improve fixtures.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a registered postsecondary coop program in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
  • Available for a 4 month placement for the Spring 2025 Coop Work Term.
  • Good understanding of VBA & Python
  • Some CAD experience in Solid Edge Solid Works or AutoCAD.
  • Some experience working with machines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
