The University of Miami Health System UHealth SCCC Department has an exciting opportunity for an Outreach Specialist 1 to work in Miami.
The Outreach Specialist supports in developing and implementing new and existing public education and outreach programs serving as a liaison to the community. Moreover this position performs a wide variety of duties and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and effectiveness.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supports in the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs.
- Works with communitybased organizations to plan promotional educational and other events targeted towards designing an increased awareness in the community.
- Aids with the preparation and distribution of public health education and navigation manuals.
- Develops professional relationships with mental health providers researchers and community members.
- Collaborates with other members of the team on special projects and events.
- Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to the Universitys core values.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
Any relevant education certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
