Overview:

The NPD Team at SharkNinja is looking for dynamic creative talented inspirational and committed Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver an extraordinary pipeline of new technologies.

We seek a creative problem solver who possessesan intuitive grasp of physics and engineering fundamentalsis equally comfortablehacking together a prototype in the lab oranalyzing the results of a testand is passionate aboutsolvingthetough engineering challengesrequired tobe the first todeliverinnovative newproductsto market.

This role calls for an experienced handson engineer who has natural curiosity and creativity a passion to develop and utilize a diversity of talents and desire to help make a high performing team even stronger.

EXCITING things youll get to do:

• Design and development of consumer products from initial concept to ongoing product support within our global development organization
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams daily to rapidly progress the understanding of systems performance levers and tradeoffs
• Bring together team members from other disciplines to brainstorm solve problems build proofofconcept prototypes and test them thoroughly
• Work with closely with and guide a team of mechanical engineers including coops and interns
• See the culmination of your efforts with the team come to life on the shelf in strores online and in infomercials

Attributes and Skills:

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of related experience in design and development
• Demonstrated ability to bring enabling technologies into innovative products in the market
• Solid analytical skills a methodical mindset with strong attention to detail and relentless drive to identify potential problems and take responsibility for their resolution
• Skilled in prototyping: 3D printingmachining hand tools building accurate and robust assemblies
• Experience working in a laboratory setting with various test equipment and instrumentation conducting controlled experiments on something you have designed and built
• Proficient CAD user Solidworks or CREO
• Organized skilled using Excel Minitab or Matlab(or similar programs)tosynthesize test data into learnings
• Skilled communicator able to explain working principles synthesize data into learnings and the impact to design choices and make recommendations to both technical and nontechnical colleagues
• Enjoys fostering meaningful professional relationships with colleages
• Due to the handson nature of the role working closely with a team this role is an inperson role at our Needham MA office

Preferred Attributes:

• Understanding of thermal dynamics
• Experience inproduct design and developmentincluding designing and executing an experimental test plan to guide design decisions
• Comfortable multitasking and responding quickly to shifting priorities without losing sight of longerterm projects and goals
• Previous experience in an applied engineering role working for a consumer product company or a consultant company
• Experience withelectronics (analog/digital) related test equipment and components common in small appliances (sensors motors heaters PCBAs etc.
