Job Description
Overview
Monterey Park Hospital a 101acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County is seeking a Radiology Technologistfor our Radiology Department. This is a full time 8hour night shift position reporting to the Director/Supervisor of Radiology.
Responsibilities
The Radiology Technologistwill be efficient in producing images of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direct supervision of the staff Radiologist. TheRadiology Techwill explain procedures to the patients and position patients on the exam table. The Radiology Tech will select technique parameters in keeping with ALARA. The Radiology Techwill review and evaluate digital images for quality to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. The Radiology Techwill use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients visitors and staff. The Radiology Tech will also be transporting patients to/from the hospital bed to the Radiology Department throughout the workday and maneuvering and positioning patients for imaging.
Qualifications
- Current CA certification from the CDPH as Diagnostic Radiology and Fluoroscopy Technologist required.
- *New graduates have 90 days from hire date to complete the Fluoroscopy Certification.
- Completion of an AMA accredited program required
- Current BLS (AHA) required.
