The Referrals team mission is to acquire new customers and retain existing through targeted offers and incentives that enhance the remittance experience for millions of users. You will work as a fullstack developer building and extending Referrals Platform that supports multiple complementary products. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager based in Poland.
You Will:
- Design develop and maintain scalable backend services APIs web and mobile app.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product managers marketing specialists ML engineers to empower highimpact referrals campaigns.
- Address technical debt of the existing referrals platform focusing on refactoring and optimizing legacy code to improve maintainability performance and scalability.
- Optimize platform performance for high availability and lowlatency ensuring reliability to support global customer bases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems deploying updates and bug fixes to ensure seamless functionality and continuous improvement.
- Support the referral team through a rotating oncall schedule.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
You Have:
- A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 3 years of professional experience
- Proven ability to build and optimize largescale web architectures.
- Strong understanding of serverside rendering (SSR) hydration and web frameworks like React or Next.js.
- Good knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java or Golang
- Proficiency in an RDBMS like MySQL PostgreSQL or SQL Server bonus points for experience managing big data
- Proven experience and understanding of software development practices system design software design patterns and algorithms
