Job Description

OVERVIEW

The fulltime Beyond Assistant Director for Mobilization is responsible for organizing transformative trips that engage participants in the Great Commission. This role takes a holistic approach ensuring that trips are not just onetime experiences but catalysts for longterm involvement in global missions. S/he will strategically design trips that align with ministry goals and oversee all logistics. S/he will recruit and train trip leaders equip participants for crosscultural engagement and foster strong relationships with field workers to ensure trips are impactful and aligned with local ministry needs. A key aspect of this role is creating a discipleshipdriven approach that deepens participants faith and commitment to global missions.

You have strong administrative skills and can juggle multiple tasks while keeping everything running smoothly. You have strong leadership in training and mentoring a passion for the nations and a dedication to mobilizing the church to fulfill the Great Commission in lasting and transformative ways.

You love empowering others to grow in their faith and see impact trips as a way to help participants understand their role in Gods mission. Whether its coordinating travel logistics managing budgets or equipping teams for crosscultural engagement you bring excellence and intentionality to everything you do.

You are a strong communicator able to collaborate well with trip participants field workers and church staff. While youre comfortable working independently you also thrive in a team setting and enjoy supporting a shared vision.

While you could work anywhere using your gifts for Gods Kingdom gives you the most joy and fulfillment. Most importantly you believe the gospel is the most important message ever so seeing it advanced and lived out in peoples lives is of utmost importance to you.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plan coordinate and manage all logistics for Impact trips including travel lodging meals and team resources
  • Develop pretrip and posttrip training/debrief content and sessions to prepare participants for a lifelong participation in Gods mission including but not limited to crosscultural engagement and theological foundations for mission.
  • Recruit train and mobilize trip participants and trip leaders ensuring they are wellprepared spiritually culturally and practically.
  • Develop a strategy for participants to integrate their impact trip experiences into their discipleship journey and offer pathways for meaningful ongoing involvement in global missions.
  • Develop a mobilization strategy that encourages trip participants to explore midterm and longterm mission opportunities including connections with sending agencies field workers and crosscultural training programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with field workers and trip hosts to ensureeffective collaboration and alignment with trip objectives.
  • Oversee financial management for trips including budgets payments and fundraising support for participants.
  • Collaborate with church staff to align trips with the mission and vision of Grace Community Church.

SCHEDULE

  • 1x Per Week Meet with Beyond Director
  • 1x Per Week Attend the weekly All Staff Meetings on Tuesday mornings
  • 1x Per Week Attend the weekly All Staff Prayer Pause
  • 1x Per Year Participate in the AllStaff Retreat typically in June
  • Christmas Eve Easter Sunday Gatherings
  • As Needed Initiate / attend project specific meetings
  • Occasional Sundays required

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to: Beyond Director
  • Works Closely with: Beyond staff field workers trip leaders and trip participants.
