BASIC FUNCTION : Under the direction of an Associate Dean administer preventive and rehabilitation treatment to student athletes and physically handicapped students; organize and oversee preseason screenings; coordinate medical coverage and insurance process for home games and injured athletes.
Physical Demands
ENVIRONMENT : College athletic training room environment. Driving a vehicle to athletic games to conduct work. PHYSICAL ABILITIES : Bending at the waist to tape and lift athletes. Pulling and pushing heavy objects. Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Hearing and speaking to communicate with others
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Any combination equivalent to: bachelors degree in Physical Education and one year of experience as an athletic trainer. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Valid CPR Certificate. Certification by the National Athletic Trainer Association. Valid California drivers license.
