This is a Supplemental midwifery position at Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Midwifery on the Legacy Mt. Hood campus. Our thriving midwifery practice provides independent full scope care in a teambased model.
Description and Requirements:
- Provides antepartum intrapartum postpartum familyplanning and wellwoman gynecological care independently to adolescent and adult patients based on scope of practice and established guidelines.
- Consults appropriately with consulting physicians.
- Provides collaborative care or referral to medical management as appropriate.
- This care is guided by practice guidelines and standards established jointly by the LMG Midwifery staff and Program Director under the direction of the Clinical VP of Womens Services.
- Follows all organizational regulatory and human resource policies and procedures.
- Practice includes full participation in outpatient and inpatient care.
- Practices full scope midwifery.
- Full scope womens healthcare and midwifery experience required.
- Ability to work with people in a diplomatic and tactful manner utilizing effective leadership and group process skills.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Candidate must have 3 or more years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse Midwife.
Education:
- As required by licensure.
Certification and Licenses:
- Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NPPP) required.
- National Certification as a Nurse Midwife required.
- Possess active BLS card from the American Heart Association
- Current licensure as required by staff and state requirements.
