Job Description
Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of people living with mental health and substance use challenges At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) were seeking a compassionate and dedicated fulltimePatient Services Coordinator to join our team in New Bern NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.
What Youll Do
As the Patient Services Coordinator you will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions in a clinic that serves adults with substance use mental health and cooccurring conditions. The PSC will serve as a member of the administrative team that answers inbound and outbound communications. Additional aspects of this opportunity that you may facilitate are appointment scheduling and registration collecting copays answering patient inquiries handling medical records and processing patient paperwork as well as data collection. Providing excellent customer service to all patients and families when they visit the clinic is of the utmost importance.

What Were Looking For
To join our team as the Patient Services Coordinator we are seeking candidates with working knowledge of Electronic Health Records and insurance verification processes as well as a high degree of accuracy in documentation. We also require:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with substance use and mental health population preferred but not required
- Previous medical office experience preferred but not required
- Maintain valid state appropriate drivers license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
