This position is approved for remote/ telework operations with requirement for in office/ onsite minimum two 2 days a week; Candidates must reside in D.C./ MD/ VA metro area for consideration in order to meet the in office/ on site requirement.

Pay Rate Information

This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $36.00 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.57 an hour.

Service Contract Act or SCA position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six 6 months of employment the selected candidate can expect an annual salary as a permanent fulltime employee with the federal contractor.


Period of Performance:

Remote/ Telework Work Hours of Operations: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern except federal holidays unless otherwise stated
  • The position is considered full time which is usually 40 hours/week 8 hours/day.
  • The proposed schedule must receive prior approval.
  • Selected candidates must be available via MS Teams and for phone calls during remote/ telework operations.
  • Must be able to travel for across the U.S. in support of trials and hearings

Additional Information
Current contract period: Date of Hire through May 31 2024
with the potential for annual extensions through May 31 2027
preference for placement/transfer as federal contract employee after six 6 months employment with C&C International

Normal Work Hours of Operation: MondayFriday 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. 40 hours per week two 2 15minute breaks and 30minute lunch except for federal holidays unless otherwise stated

Courtroom AV Hardware Specialist

Qualifications:
  • Three to five 3 5 years of experience in development and implementation for paperless trial courtrooms setup I.T. environments
  • Must have an undergraduate degree
  • Must be thoroughly familiar/ proficient with standard courtroom presentation software packages such as Oncue and Trial Director
  • Requires outstanding oral communications skills
    • Position requires specialist to be the sole person on site in the courtroom to direct and advise attorneys regarding courtroom technology
    • May be required to meet with the trial team court reporters opposing counsel or the judge to discuss courtroom requirements to clearly explain the capabilities and limitations of various equipment and distribution options and to make a compelling case for the optimum solution
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the state of the art in courtroom presentation hardware distribution systems techniques and procedures
  • Must be able to manage install troubleshoot all AudioVisual equipment
  • Must be able to travel for across the US in support of trials and hearings
  • Needs to be able to anticipate incourtroom problems with hardware and software so as to minimize their impact

  • General Certification as Technology Specialist

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Consults with the trial team courtroom/ courthouse staff court reporters and opposing counsel to develop plans for equipping a courtroom for a paperless trial
  • Recommend appropriate equipment software etc. taking into account courtroom layout and lighting whatever equipment may already be available requirements for cost sharing between the parties requirements for portability trial schedule the preferences of the judge et cetera
  • Obtains installs designs integrates tests and maintains equipment cabling and software particularly for complex installations
  • Responsible for the management of all AudioVisual team (with and without Virtual Teleconference VTC)
  • Conduct trainings on how to utilize the existing AV and respond to requests for AV support from the Civil Rights Divisions lead management as part of the I.T. team
