Pastry Cook is primarily responsiblefor kitchen operations related to desserts and pastries They use theircreativity and understanding of ingredients to design and make sweet culinarycreations.
Responsibility:
*Prepare andbake pastries cakes according to recipes or personal judgment
*Decoratepastries and desserts using different types of icings toppings etc. to ensurethe presentation is beautiful andexciting
*Measure andmix ingredients needed for specific pastry recipes
*Collaboratewith other culinary team members to ensure the food being presented is of thehighest quality
*Maintaincleanliness and adherence to health standards in the kitchen
*Monitorbaking progress adjust oven temperatures and test quality of baked goods
*manageinventory of baking supplies
*Assist inplanning and implementing dessert menus for special events
*wellversedin culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.
*Decoratepastries using different icings toppings etc. to ensure the presentation willbe beautiful and exciting
*In depthknowledge of sanitation principles food preparation and baking techniques andnutrition
*Workingknowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten freesugarless etc.
*PASTRY EXPERIENCE A MUST
