Job Description
Lipscomb Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to fill the role of Assistant Trap Coach. This part time coaching role will assist the head trap coach in all functions of the academy trap shooting teams consisting of middle and high school students.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practice sessions.
- Provide individual coaching and feedback to athletes as directed to enhance their skills.
- Help organize and facilitate team events and competitions.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with the head coach to evaluate athlete performance and progress.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain attitude that fosters a positive and competitive environment consistent with our Christian values.
Qualifications:
- Experience in trap shooting whether as a competitor or coach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to firearms and shooting sports.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
