Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires at least 1 year of experience in customer service.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Preferred:Healthcare or Orthopedic experience
Essential Functions
- Responsible for transporting patients from the waiting room radiology and patient room and tracking all incoming and outgoing patient films
- Treat all patients courteously and professionally. Call patients in accordance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Review the schedule at the front desk and call each patient in order.
- Follow up with front desk staff to see if any addon cases are waiting.
- Use a wheelchair to safely transport any patients that need assistance.
- Assist patients in dressing rooms.
- Room patients as directed by the Radiologic Technologist.
- Transport addon cases back to patient rooms when xrays are complete.
- Take all paperwork to either the front counter or to the MA rooming the patient.
- Log and scan all xray films then return or dispose of them as indicated.
- Copy films to disk as directed by the Radiologic Technologist.
- Report any patient complaints immediately to the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians subordinates and other departments as required.
- Respond to patient questions and complaints as required to resolve problems and maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
