Who are we looking for
GHD has an exciting opportunity for an experiencedSenior Structural Design Technicianto join our growing Structural group within the Engineering Design Organization (EDO). This position will bebased out of ourany of our offices in the West Region CA AZ WA OR.
TheSenior Structural Design Technicianwill use their skills and technical knowledge to lead the production of quality models to meet client needs and requirements.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Provide support for design and construction of structural projects using Revit and AutoCAD
- Implementation of project/client software templates and standards and proper set up of structural models and drawings
- Ensure BIM/CAD (including Revit and AutoCAD) and other technical processes are integrated into project workflows and are followed
- Coordinate and manage the project model and any linked drawing deliverables and documentation outputs. Manage central model and other shared files.
- Coordinate and engage with Discipline Designers Drafters and Engineers. Work with other disciplines on multidiscipline projects.
- Support Discipline Leads in checking models for general good work habits and quality health checks
- Assist with proposals and awarded projects to define BIM scope workflows and plans on projects.
- Responsible for compliance with technical design requirements BIM Plan (BEP) requirements and customizing templates
- Supporting BIM Leads and Designers to ensure effective and timely flow of project information and quality of deliverables.
- Confirming that the expected level of design requirements are met with each submittal.
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum10 yearsof experience working within AutoCAD/Revit structural projects. At minimum 2 years working on Revit projects.
- Associates degree in a Design/Drafting program is preferred.
- Applicants must be proficient in modeling and detailing structural systems in building type of structures.
- Has experience training and mentoring staff.
- Has experience with creating standards.
- Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to create positive relationships and influence others.
- Team player cooperates effectively with others through open sharing of knowledge and information.
Hourly Rate: $41.00$62.00 per hour based on location and experience.
