Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at the RollsRoyce Power Systems Aiken plant you will be a critical leader in optimizing and executing costeffective manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for production flow assembly methods and equipment selection ensuring that all processes meet product specifications and quality standards. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives mentoring team members and ensuring a strong compliance and safety culture.
Key Accountabilities:
- Process Development and Optimization: Lead the development and of manufacturing processes including production flow assembly methods and equipment selection to ensure efficiency and costeffectiveness while meeting product specifications and quality standards.
- Policy and Procedure Improvement: Lead and support organizational groups to develop improve and implement policies procedures and controls. Provide accurate feedback and facilitate continuous improvement through effective team collaboration.
- Tooling and Equipment: Design source test and costjustify various tools machinery and equipment. Ensure that the selected manufacturing methods align with production goals and enhance efficiency.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data and write reports to validate processes or identify deviations from standards. Use insights from data to drive process improvements.
- Work Instructions and Procedures: Develop and implement detailed work instructions processes and procedures for the production floor and department ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support for complex manufacturing operations serving as a key resource for troubleshooting and problemsolving.
- Safety and Compliance: Review and improve processes and procedures to preserve and enhance employee safety. Promote a compliance culture and uphold the RollsRoyce Code of Conduct.
- Facility Layout and Planning: Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings assembly areas and equipment to optimize production efficiency and ensure safety.
- Training and Mentorship: Train production staff on processes and procedures. Mentor and develop team members in manufacturing engineering and project management fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Special Projects: Performs special projects as required.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering; or 9 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- In order to be eligible for consideration you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing process design.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and execute complex projects.
- Excellent organization planning and followup skills to ensure project success.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information across all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities particularly when addressing complex issues.
- A continuous improvement mindset open to new approaches and comfortable with agile working in the digital age.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships and crossdepartmental collaboration.
- Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite.
- Practical experience with manufacturing simulation and CAD software.
- Experience with SAP.
- Proficiency with MS Project.

Daily work is performed in a general manufacturing office and test cell environment.
This position has a compressed work schedule (Monday through Thursday).
While performing tasks for this position the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside and occasionally outside of the work environment. Also the employee will occasionally be required to work in environmental conditions where there are fumes and dust. Finally the employee will be frequently requested to perform tasks in environmental conditions where there are unpleasant odors and gases. Please note the conditions can be hazardous.
While performing physical demands of the position occasionally the employee will be occasionally requested to stand climb balance stoop kneel crouch reach and squat. Also the employee will be regularly requested to sit within a particular work environment. Next the employee will frequently be requested to walk inside and outside the work environment. Finally an employee will be regularly requested to grasp and manipulate items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.
