Description
The facilities management team consists of several specialized groups to meet the needs of Emory Healthcare Facilities. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support and oversee equipment patient care and sustainability.
Shift Time: 11p7:30a
- Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities and has a proven competency in one of the following areas; electrical/wiring mechanical/HVAC systems plumbing/pipefitting or Plant Operations/Stationary Engineer.
- Repairs and adjusts doors windows closures panic devices and locks. Patches holes installs escutcheons repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance.
- Makes minor masonry and wood repairs
- Installs pictures coat hooks other wall hung furnishings and equipment as requested.
- Performs preventive maintenance activities responds to customer complaints and repairs equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance.
- Working knowledge in their area of competency of HVAC plumbing electrical Plant operations structural or general carpentry.
- May require a valid Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record.
- Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend stoop and twist.
