As the teams Pediatrician youll be providingpatient care services including assessment diagnosis treatment planning and coordination monitoring and evaluation of medical care to individual patients. Our multidisciplinary care teams incorporate the expertise of medical dental behavioral health pharmacy and care navigation professionals to provide patients with comprehensive care designed to help them achieve their health goals. PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Collaborate with the care team to provide clinical care and services to patients including outpatient inpatient an extended care services. Promote the team concept of health care delivery. Provide consultation to midlevel providers and other clinical and ancillary team members as necessary.
- Share call coverage for Health Help patients.
- Collaborate with Chief Medical Officer and other providers in the development and periodic update of standards of care principles of practice standing orders and/or clinical protocols (including those governing midlevel providers).
- Participate with professional and allied health training programs in student and resident rotations.
- Capitalize on opportunities to attend meetings or make presentations to community groups associations or other health organizations as Health Helps representative.
- Maintain unrestricted Kentucky Medical License DEA certification and privileges to appropriate hospitals and other care facilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education: Board Certified/Board Eligible M.D.; D.O.
- Qualifications
- Provide superior customer service to all patients external customers (office staff of other offices hospitalcommunity agencies etc. and coworkers. Serve as an ambassador of the White House Clinics in all conversations and interactions with these parties.
- Prescribe to a teambased delivery of primary care services that support White House Clinics efforts in being a patientcentered medical home. Accept responsibility for being an active member of the team and commit to identifying quality improvement opportunities.
- Ability to prepare written reports and use of telephone equipment. Ability to communicate effectively with peers colleagues and patients from a variety of backgrounds.
ACCOUNTABILITY:Accountable to the Chief Medical Officer and ultimately the Executive Director
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires a variety of physically and mentally demanding activities. Require full use of eyes ears and hands. Sitting some bending stooping stretching and lifting (generally not in excess of 75 pounds at a time).Manual dexterity required for typing performing other daily duties and medical/surgical procedures.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
40 hours per week (exempt from wage and hour laws; including nights weekends and holiday work from time to time. Work is performed in a health care delivery environment with exposure to communicable diseases. Position may include possible exposure to aggressive or violent patients and requires the ability to work under stressful conditions often for long periods of time.
