Job Description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in line with current corporate strategy to provide for continual improvement in sourcing
  • Analyze internal customers needs and investigate potential new suppliers
  • Lead support and manage the RFP process to obtain the best possible terms with suppliers
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and legal department during contract negotiation
  • Submit necessary paperwork to ensure completeness and compliance with company policy related to suppliers (Contract Vendor Access Agreement COI)
  • Play a key role in communicating change of suppliers and implementation of same with key operations personnel
  • Analyze contracts invoices and documentation for compliance with existing agreements (KPIs SLAs price). Create detailed reports based on findings and follow up on resolutions
  • Analyze and calculate current costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditures
  • Monitor vendor performance and investigate vendor complaints to ensure a satisfactory resolution for all parties
  • Ability to identify how suppliers affect the company across all business lines and how changes in the relationship may impact other areas of the business
  • Support special projects or initiatives as required

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting and/ or Finance preferred
  • Clear understanding of contract terms and conditions
  • CPSM certification preferred

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Prior demonstrated experience in roles that support the job description above are preferred

Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel Word Outlook etc..
  • Attention to detail accuracy in addition tothe ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Desire to learn new skills / concepts.

Communicating & Influencing Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.

Outputs:

  • Goals will be set and monitored for achievement
  • Success will be tracked through cost and time savings through efficiency enhancements
  • Communication amongst team members and companywide is key to success

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with jobrelated skills experience relevant education or training and geographic location starting in the range of $67670.00 $98125.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
