Welcome to Punthill Sunshine

Were a brand new hotel opened in September 2024! As a result of the business growth were looking for a casual experienced Local Hosts (Reception/GSA) to join the team and wider Veriu Group family.

This new apartment hotel is located adjacent to Sunshine Station currently undergoing a major redevelopment as part of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan. Upon completion the Masterplan landmark project will transform the Station into a transport superhub linking Melbourne Airport with both the CBD and regional Victoria.

Featuring 90apartments Punthill Sunshine is represented an attractive accommodation option for both business and leisure travellers and it offers a mix of fully selfcontained modern studio onebedroom and twobedroom apartments a gym together with a large conference space that can be turned into 2 spaces.The hotels strategic location in Melbournes thriving western region makes it an ideal destination and what makes Punthill Sunshine an exciting addition to our growing network of existing hotels!

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Hotel Manager youll be part of a small team of genuine people looking to create lasting memories and exceptional experiences for each and every guest. No day will be the same but each day youll strive to:

• 1 x Over Night Shift per week (Fridays 11pm to 7am) along with 34 days shifts available for the right candidate.
• Provide a high level of guest services at all touchpoints (checkin checkout during their stay)
• Provide creative resolutions to complaints and problems
• Be true host and location connection for our guest knowthe local area of the hotel intimately enough to provide advice and recommendations to guests on key points of interest
• Respond to emergency situations in a safe and professional matter
• Identify & explore opportunities to increase the number of returning & new guests
• Support the Hotel Manager to ensure the hotel operates to VeriBest standard

About You

We work in a fastpaced environment where no day is the same so were looking for people who are adaptable enjoy variety and operate with an ownership mindset.

The successful person must have:

• Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
• Flexibility to work at variety of shifts throughout the week including weekends and public holidays on rotation with other team members and 1 x Overnight shift 11pm to 7am) weekly Not suitable for Student Visas due to the flexibility and availability required.
• First Aid Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate(or be able to obtain before starting)
• Ability to work as a team & also independently
• Experience in a customer service role
