Job Description
Position Function:
Deliver dairy products to campus outlets; assist with cheese making and other dairy processing operations.
Salary Grade:09
Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC these positions are Unclassified and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
Anticipated Appointment Date:
March 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver dairy products assist in processing and making cheese. Function as relief in milk packaging operation processing and ice cream packaging. As needed operate tank truck to pick up raw milk. Assist with the packaging and waxing of cheese. Assist with mailing of cheese orders. Assist with the manufacture of processed cheeses and other dairy products. Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year of experience operating dairy processing equipment or experience in a closely related field.
Licensure: Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain Commercial Drivers License within 6 months of employment.
Substitution: An equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be considered for this position.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations.
Ability to read gauges and graphs and record handwritten information daily.
Good communications skills.
Ability to pass drug tests which indicate an absence of illegal controlled substance use.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Work is normally performed in a manufacturing facility.
