Position Information
Department Summary
Under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Director of Logistical Services Shipping and Receiving Services (SRS) and Mail Services (MS) are jointly responsible for the receipt of all incoming material for the campus community and the delivery of such material to the appropriate campus departments. The departments are also responsible for the receipt packing and shipment of all outgoing material as well. The departments provide documentation and verification of all material to assure it is in accordance with the purchase orders. Responsibilities also include the receipt and tagging of University equipment.
The Mail Services Department is also jointly responsible for receiving sorting and distribution of U.S. and campus mail. It also distributes other campus related materials. The department serves as the liaison between the University and the U.S. Postal Services.

Education and Experience
Two years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse in the performance of work involving the receipt storage and issuance of a variety of supplies material and equipment.
Prospective applicants who have not had the experience listed may be considered eligible based on other evidence of meeting the minimum qualifications.

Valid California Drivers License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4875 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
