Our community works daily to think critically creatively and morally so that we can serve God with Title: School NurseDepartment:The Office of Student LifeReports to:Principal Assistant Principal of Student LifeDirect Reports:PrincipalJob SummaryThe School Nurse will provide direct healthcare services support health education and collaborate with school administrators faculty and parents to create a safe and nurturing environment for all Duties and Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to students faculty and staff including first aid emergency care and medication and manage acute and chronic health conditions ensuring appropriate interventions and accurate and confidential student health records including immunization compliance health screenings and medication and implement individualized care plans (ICPs) for students with chronic illnesses or special health compliance with local state and federal health regulations as well as school with parents teachers counselors and administrators to develop and implement strategies that support student health and health screenings including vision hearing and scoliosis evaluations as students and staff on healthrelated topics such as hygiene nutrition and disease and manage communicable diseases providing appropriate notifications and guidance in accordance with public health as a health resource and advocate for the school community promoting a culture of wellness and and oversee emergency response protocols including staff training and inventory and proper storage of medical supplies and & Scheduling:Manage the health office ensuring that it operates smoothly and and supervise any necessary healthrelated events screenings or regular communication with the Principal and Office of Student Life regarding student health :Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of of 2 years of nursing experience preferably in a school or pediatric CPR First Aid and AED organizational communication and interpersonal to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to with student health documentation platforms and medical recordkeeping of background check fingerprinting and Virtus Online Training.
