Your role at St John of God Ballarat
We are seeking applications for an Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 to join our Exercise Rehabilitation team on a permanent basis.
The Occupational therapist is a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides evidencedbased care to the patients of St John of God Health Care (SJGHC). Ensures practice is in accordance to the relevant registration body Board of Australia Code of Ethics and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
The Position
Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients/patients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of comprehensive patient assessment (e.g. assessment of personal care domestic and community ADLs assessment of the home environment cognitive and functional physical assessment as required).
Provision of a comprehensive treatment intervention and appropriate progression treatment to match functional goals.
Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment requirements of patients if required to assist with functioning
Provide consultation and support to medical nursing catering and allied health professionals within the Division as appropriate.
To succeed you will have proficient knowledge & skills in assessment treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice effective verbal and written communication skills and able to work independently and within a team.
Successful applicants will have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current valid drivers licence.

We can offer you
Salary: $66798 to $92356 plus 11.5 Superannuation
Permanent fulltime working 38 hours per week
