The Research Fellow will work in the laboratory of Dr. Minerva Carrasquillo who is one of four coprincipal investigators on the NIHfunded CLEARAD program focused on the identification of novel blood biomarkers and therapeutic targets for Alzheimers disease. The Research Fellow should have formal training and a strong grasp of concepts in genomics epigenetics statistics experience programming in R and independently implementing bioinformatics tools commonly utilized in genomics studies. Responsibilities will include gathering organizing and analyzing multiomics and exposome data from study participants included in the CLEARAD program regularly communicating the progress of the data collection and analysis results with lab members and with internal and external collaborators preparing and submitting manuscripts and grant proposals and comentoring junior trainees. Active participation in monthly conference calls will be required and potentially travel to an annual conference to present the projects progress.
Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field at the time of the start date of the Research Fellowship. Candidates should have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere. Applicants should have experience leading research projects and should have contributed as first author to peerreviewed publications.
