You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe transplant APP working as a member of an interdisciplinary team is integral to Clinical Transplant Services. The APP assists in facilitating discharge for transplant patients providing education and works closely with staff members of the transplant team (RNs physicians social worker financial counselor psychiatrists etc. and has the primary responsibility for providing direct and indirect professional care for transplant patients both in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and support the needs of inpatient and clinical support operations for the Kidney Transplant Program. The NP/PA works in close partnership with team of physicians advancedpractice providers RNs surgical team and hospital personnel to provide excellent clinical care and customer service in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The NP/PA works to assure a smooth transition of patient care and education between the inpatient and outpatient arenas in order to decrease length of stay improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction. The NP/PA provides modeling for staff and residents regarding excellent internal and external customer service and teamwork. The NP/PA is credentialed by the Medical Board of OHSU to practice in the hospital setting and to perform procedures as authorized by the medical board and within the scope specified by the respective licensing board.
Includes providing high quality customer service to both external and internal customers (patients transplant coordinators referring providers internal providers and other OHSU faculty and staff) that meets or exceeds the service standards for the health care industry. This duty includes prompt and professional communication efforts facetoface customer contact skills crisis management use of available information technology standard complaint processing flexibility in coverage of internal service needs and continuous application of process improvement methods and skills.

Masters Degree

Computer/word processing skills
Board Certification Current Oregon NP or PA License Prescriptive authority/DEA licensure NP candidate with acute care certification
BLS from American Heart Association
Compliance with Code of Conduct Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies procedures and agreements related to position department or OHSU as a whole
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
>2 years experience in inpatient MedSurg prefered but new graduates encouraged to apply
