Job Description

Description

The successful candidate will teach one section of ECON 1220 Introduction to Economics during the Winter 2025 semester. This is a hybrid section with classroom and online students which runs in an intensive daylong format. Classes will be taught from the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.

Classes run: March 3 7 2025. Assignments due April 30 2025.

NOTE: This posting pertains to one section of ECON 1220 Introduction to Economics.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and be prepared to deliver classes at the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in Economics (required); a PhD in Economics is strongly preferred
  • Community teaching research and/or service associations with Tkemlps te Secwpemc or other Indigenous communities in Canada (required)
  • Relevant postsecondary teaching experience with evidence of strong teaching skills is preferred

Please Note: If you are selected for an interview external Candidates will be required to bring a copy of their transcripts to the interview.

The selected candidate will follow a standard course outline and assessment scheme.
