Reporting to the Production Supervisor Metal Shop Paint this role is a fulltime hourly positionscheduled Monday Friday with the availability for overtime when necessary. The Senior Painteris a strong team player with a positive attitude is willing to take direction as well as be a selfstarterand enjoys working in a creative problem solving and fastpaced manufacturingenvironment. This position also possesses basic knowledge of handling hazardous materials andupholds basic cleaning standards of paint guns and work environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:
- Cleans and prepares products to be painted
- Selects and mixes specific colors using computer generated formulas
- Applies paint to various types of materials (i.e. metal plastics foam etc.
- Takes directions well and is a selfstarter
- Improves processes as necessary
- Works safely in and around a fabrication shop environment
- Enjoys working in a creative problem solving manufacturing environment
- Fulfills other production duties assigned as needed
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to be a strong team player with a positive attitude and a great work ethic
- Ability to work with little direction
- Knowledge of fabrication shop procedures
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- 10 years professional paint experience
- Proven track record of successfully meeting the tier requirements as set by the evaluationmatrix
- Experience with Matthews or PPG Paint System
- Sign and/or automotive painting and bondo experience is a must
- Experience setting up and operating paint equipment
- Experience spraying metallics and clear coats is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop kneelclimb crouch or crawl
- The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75pounds
- The employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision distant vision color visionperipheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Employee must be able to talk and hear
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Due to our onsite Fabrication process the work environment characteristics described here arerepresentative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions ofthis job. While performing the duties of this job employee may be exposed to wet and/or humidconditions moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
