Programme Associate/Research Analyst

Energy Transitions
A successful applicant will workclosely with the team to develop research on new and emerging peoplecentricchallenges in Indias energy transitions and the transitions of associatedsectors like thermal power plants heavy industries andtransport.
We are looking for an experiencedprofessional with handson experience of working in Indias energy landscapeand in public policy. An ideal candidate should be able to engage meaningfullywith the team on the conceptual possibilities of a just transition managelarge sets of quantitative and qualitative datasets have significant fieldwork experience be excellent at stakeholder management and write researchreport articles. Job duties and accountabilities
Primary responsibilities
Research
Collect organize and summarize quantitative and qualitativeevidence on the socioeconomic impacts of the energy transition in the contextof India.
Assist in deskbased literature review of elements of a justenergy transition in the Indian context.
Travel to project sites across multiple states to conductinterviews and collect data.
Identify international best practices toward mitigatingsocioeconomic impacts through policy interventions.
Assist with specific projects and overall plan of activities inCEEWs just transition workstream.
Regularly track important developments (policy and technical) inthe sector through rigorous literature review and share summaries with teammembers to promote mutual learning.
Lead on writing highquality research reports and publishing themin leading peerreviewed journals.
Generate knowledge content blogs reports opeds and policybriefs in regular intervals.
Prepare presentations fact sheets and other researchcommunication material.
Otherresponsibilities
Participate in relevant conferences workshops and trainingprograms as necessary to communicate research findings and gain insights on newresearch in focus areas.
Assist in building strategic partnerships and collaborations withpeer organizations and government departments for ensuring continued learninggrowth and impact at scale.

Qualification
Workexperience
A good foundation in socioeconomic concepts macroeconomicsfiscal reviews and the coal economy in India and globally.
Proficiency in using advance statistical data tools like RPython STATA
Proficiency in using MS Excel Powerpoint and Word.
Strong writing networking and communication skills.
Technical knowhow of power generating technologies would be abonus.
Keyskills
Sharp and analytical mind with a willingness to explore newresearch areas learn new research and project management skills.
Ability to adapt and deliver under tight deadlines in aprofessional environment.
Striving for rigor in research and quality in work output.
Ability to effectively work in a team while being able toindependently drive research if and when needed.
Ability to dig deeper into details while not losing sight of thebroader objectives.
