Job Description
Overview
Community Health Partners is seeking fulltime Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our rapidly expanding Orthopaedic service line. As a General Orthopaedic APP you will be a critical component to the care of our Valley residents. You will be closely aligned with the burgeoning Community Health Partners orthopaedic team dedicated to providing worldclass wellcoordinated musculoskeletal healthcare in collaboration with our innovated and integrated physician network. This role also allows the opportunity to build your own practice and includes a mix of OR and/or Clinical opportunities.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Coordinate a course of treatment for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal issues
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses physician assistants nurse practitioners dieticians hospitalists radiologists pathologists and pharmacists
- Serve as an expert in the diagnosis and preoperative operative and postoperative treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
Qualifications
Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required
- Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Standardized Procedures required
- 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Orthopaedic clinical experience preferred.
- If qualifying as a Nurse Practitioner the following is required
- NP Current State of California Nurse Practitioner License required
- NPF Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number required.
- If qualifying as a Physician Assistant the following is required
- PA State of California Physician Assistant License required
- DEA DEA Controlled Substance Number required
- BLS Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Ability to participate in a federally funded program (Medicare and Medicaid) required
- NPC National Certified Nurse Practitioner by ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) or AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners)
