California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) is a preeminent center of intellectual and cultural activity in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. JOB SUMMARY
Both our lowerdivision and upperdivision undergraduate courses are 3unit courses. Each is taught twice a week on campus (either at our San Bernardino campus or our Palm Desert Campus) for one and a half hours per class session during the Fall and Spring semesters 15 weeks each). Instructors prepare their syllabi assignments classroom activities lecture materials and grading rubrics and teach the courses following department guidelines. Instructors or these courses also hold limited office hours in which they can meet with students who need help have questions and require advice about their coursework.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty staff and students.
Typical duties include: preparing al materials for teaching assigned courses inclass teaching and evaluating student coursework and grading assignments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies or a suitably related discipline.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Communication & Media offers students the opportunity to study on topical relevant and careerready degree programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Studying communication and media creates opportunities for our students in a wide range of career fields in fastgrowing evolving and exciting industries.
We offer a B.A. in Communication with concentrations in Relational & Organizational Communication Media Studies and Strategic Communication. We also have a Specialized Concentration where students can work with faculty advisers to create an individualized curriculum of courses.
All our students get involved with other opportunities on campus too such as Coyote Radio PAWS Radio Coyote PR Coyote Advertising the Coyote Chronicle Newspaper and a whole host of film and video making as well as screenwriting opportunities that deliver key skills knowledge and experience that perfectly complement our courses in communication studies.
