Position Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking pediatric anesthesiologists to join our team of pediatric anesthesiology faculty at UNCs flagship Childrens Hospital. Our pediatric anesthesiology practice includes all subspecialties and spans the spectrum from healthy outpatients to complex neonatal surgery. UNC Childrens Hospital is a major regional referral center with pediatric ICU neonatal ICU pediatric ECMO cardiac burn trauma pain sedation solid organ and bone marrow transplantation programs. The division of pediatric anesthesiology provides over 12000 anesthetics per year to the children of North Carolina and surrounding states. The department has an active ACGME accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship and serves as the pediatric anesthesiology training site for the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Our department has a robust Global Health program a stateoftheart simulation lab and a strong relationship with the UNC School of Medicine. Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Preference for individuals who have experience working in an academic setting teaching graduate level learners (interns residents fellows) working in a team which includes CRNAs CAAs and collaborating with other services.
