This role will be focused on designing and engineering the solutions which address Maersk Global Data & Analytics (GDA) platform with ambition to develop robust master data solution to enable multiple business critical & enduser facing applications and shape the future of AI/ML in logistics using clean trustworthy data.
This role is in the Maersk Global Data & Analytics (GDA) platform organization. This organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve data quality analytics ML & AI capabilities. This team creates the foundation to integrate data systems and processes powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure thereby enabling Maersks vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics connecting and simplifying customers supply chains.
The Software Development Engineer is a very important role demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineering competencies e.g. Systems Design and Architecture Software Development Testing DevOps Security Analytics Lifecycle Management etc. and successfully collaborate with experts from other subject domains.
As a contributing handson engineer in the Global Data & Analytics Platform you will
- Lead all aspects of Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) inline with Agile and IT craftsmanship principles.
- Design clientside and serverside architecture & solutions.
- Write secure & scalable clean code along with unit tests.
- Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of code constantly!
- Develop and manage wellfunctioning databases and applications.
- Constantly learn new/emerging technologies and mentor teams.
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade software.
Profile Required
6 years of related experience with excellent programming & soft skills.
Batchelors degree in engineering or masters degree in computer science / relevant field.
Technical expertise in:
- JavaScript and relevant frameworks React Vue Node
- Java (version 11 or higher) TDD BDD Reactive programming & framework
- Spring ecosystem (Core MVC JPA Transaction Management Security AOP Spring Batch)
- SOA/Microservices (REST SOAP)
- Messaging & PubSub technologies (MQ Kafka) SOA/Microservices (REST SOAP)
- Writing complex SQL scripts
- Relational & nonrelational databases writing complex SQL scripts
- Tomcat/Weblogic servers serverless (cloud) deployment Kubernetes/Docker
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
- Building applications using cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Creating Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Bonus:
- Azure Developer certification
- Experience of Master Data Management (MDM) domain & related tools (e.g. Informatica)
- Experience with Elastic Search / ELK stack Python
