The University of San Diego (USD) department of Environmental and Ocean Sciences (EOSC) invites applications for a fulltime nontenure track faculty (benefits based on a 9month contract) to teach courses in geological/physical science. The faculty member will teach 1824 units 68 lectures and/or labs per year) of freshman/sophomorelevel lectures and laboratory sections which may include EOSC 105: Natural Disasters EOSC 110: The Dynamic Earth and EOSC 220: Introduction to Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences and the possibility of junior/senior/graduate (MS)level courses. In addition we will consider Special Topics courses in the faculty members area of expertise and/or GIS experience. There is also the possibility to lead coordination of the lowerdivision geosciences laboratory sections.

MS or PhD (degrees must be completed before 9/1/24 in a geosciences field and teaching experience as the instructor of record at the college/university level required.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience education and other factors including departmental budget.
