Job Description
Our client is a reputable Environmental Geotechnical and Civil Engineering firm serving the MidAtlantic and Southeast. Due to continued growth they areseeking a Licensed Surveyor to support private and public sector land development projects in Eastern North Carolina.The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of surveying techniques principles and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles.
- Prepare plots maps and reports of the survey results and share them with clients and government bodies.
- Utilize GPS systems robotic total stations and other surveying equipment to ensure accuracy of measurements.
- Collaborate with team members during the land development process necessary.
- Participate in presurvey planning meetings with project managers.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Geomatics Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of North Carolina.
- A minimum of 35 years of experience in land surveying.
- Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment including GPS systems 3D laser scanners and total stations.
- Working knowledge of survey software like AutoCAD MicroStation or similar.
- Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
