Applications are invited for a tenure track position in cardiovascular medicine in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey New Jersey Medical School in Newark NJ. The academic rank will be commensurate with the credentials of the selected candidate. The successful candidate will join a strong faculty focused on the regulation of gene expression epigenetics development mitochondria aging metabolism oxidative stress cell death differentiation and signal transduction pathways in normal and diseased tissue with particular emphasis on cardiovascular disease cancer and the application of stem cells and gene therapy for regenerative and molecular medicine. Approaches include animal models of cardiac disease cuttingedge technologies in cell biology molecular biology molecular genetics genomics and proteomics and system biology and bioinformatics. The department has access to exceptional laboratory and animal facilities equipment and computational services as well as to shared stateoftheart core research facilities providing transgenic molecular genomic proteomic microscopic flow cytometry and biostatistics/bioinformatics support.
