Position Summary

Directs and supports the daily realtime operation of the control center including dispatch functions associated with responding to outages emergencies and other routine service work. Responsible for ensuring safe reliable and costeffective operation of the gas and electric system. Possesses expert subjectmatter knowledge of operations and expert experience managing the risks and restoration efforts for complex operating scenarios. Contributes to achieving specific safety productivity customer service and delivery reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and servicelevel agreements with Asset Management. Responsible for assisting and providing back up to the manager and directs per any applicable labor contracts.

Essential Responsibilities

• Directs electric distribution control center employees in their daily realtime functions including dispatching responding to outages switching advanced applications emergencies and other routine service work. Supports the departmental business plan by contributing to the effective and efficient assignment of resources with emphasis on safety customer satisfaction reliability cost and compliance with regulations. Directs interpretation and administration of any applicable labor contracts.

• Supports and actively participates in the development of employees through training mentoring and succession development.

• Contributes to safety cost customer service and reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and servicelevel agreements. Directs the implementation of business plan strategy and tactics. Responsible for providing realtime operational support and oncall coverage. Contributes to budget planning and performance.

• Supports the implementation of new technologies so that productivity customer service and reliability targets are achieved.

• Directs internal and external communications regarding outages emergencies and other routine service work. Responsible for the status of the electric distribution system and drives timely restorations to normal system configuration. Contributes and may be assigned a leadership role in escalated operations for service territory.

• Participates on teams as necessary to provide expert technical & operational support to others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training experience

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent with prior control center experience.

• Eight years of electric delivery experience.

• Experience in managing bargaining unit employees preferred including knowledge of company/union agreements.

• Working knowledge of operational tools preferred.

• Oncall responsibility required.

• Must be able to adjust work schedule to provide technical coverage as needed.

• Travel is required.
